Privacy Policy

Informed: RSS Reader

Effective date: July 10, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 10, 2026

Daily Tools HQ ("we", "us", "our") built Informed: RSS Reader (the "App") as a free RSS and Atom feed reader. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

What's new: The App is integrating Google AdMob to show ads and support continued development. This update reflects that change — please review the Advertising section below, which covers what ad-related data is collected and how it's used.

01Information We Collect

The App itself does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number in order to use its core reading features. Your RSS/Atom feed subscriptions, saved articles, and reading preferences are stored locally on your device.

Once advertising is enabled, the App and its advertising partner (Google AdMob) may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, described below.

02Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and process data to serve ads, measure ad performance, and limit how many times you see the same ad. This can include:

We do not control the data collection practices of Google or other ad networks directly. Google's use of advertising data is governed by its own policies:

You can opt out of personalized advertising, or reset your advertising identifier, through your device settings (on Android: Settings → Google → Ads).

03Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or the actual content of the feeds you subscribe to on any server we control. Feed subscriptions and saved articles remain on your device unless you separately choose to back them up or export them.

04Third-Party Services

Beyond Google AdMob, the App may use standard Google Play Services (for example, for crash reporting or app distribution) which operate under Google's own privacy policy linked above. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the advertising described above.

05Children's Privacy

The App is listed as suitable for a general audience (rated 3+ on Google Play). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner that violates applicable law. Where ads are shown to users who are children or in regions with specific child-privacy requirements, ad serving is configured to comply with applicable regulations (such as Google's requirements for child-directed treatment). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

06Data Retention

Feed data and reading preferences stored locally on your device remain there until you delete the App or clear its data. Advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data are retained by Google according to Google's own retention practices, not ours.

08Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including as the App's advertising integration is reviewed and approved. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
